Camrin Petramale is a Chicago/Los Angeles Cinematographer
who focuses on commercials, branded content, and independent feature films with 11 feature film credits. One of his recent films, The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain, was executive produced by Morgan Freeman and was an Independent Spirit Award nominee. Camrin has been a member of the Local 600 since 2013, and was the recipient of the 2013 ICG’s Emerging Cinematographer Award.
Camrin’s blend of creative flair and technical expertise are his signature on every project. He prides himself on his ability to transform words from a script into something tangible. Carmin values collaboration and is talented at bringing a director’s vision to life using the tools and technology at his disposal.
Camrin is the co-founder/owner of Light Modifiers Rental, a lighting equipment rental house, and is a managing partner of Eleven04 Rentals in Chicago, IL.
Camrin knows how crucial the role of light is in a DPs work, so he created an educational series, "Learn with LMR", where he breaks down the elements of lighting.
Camrin currently lives in Chicago with his wife, two young sons, and his Blue Heeler, Bo. When he isn’t shooting, Camrin enjoys all things Star Wars, barbecue, and outdoors.
